Welcome to the home page of shadders online, the online music fanzine.

“Shadders? On me Lungs? I’m bein’ eaten away, this is the end of me, oh gawd in ‘eaven ‘elp me!”

It started with one quote, a Michael Caine quote indeed from the original (and best so kiss my arse Jude Law) ‘Alfie’ and obviously a great love of the finest music. It then many years ago spawned a music fanzine, we featured all the bands we loved and Shadders? On me Lungs? has been sold or given away to places as far afield as Japan and America but normally round our stomping grounds of the toilet venues of Yorkshire and the East Midlands. We’ve been lucky to see and talk to some storming bands, some have gone onto world domination some just gone by the wayside but all have provided a stunning soundtrack to our lives. Now it’s time to move into the digital age so along side the Shadders? On me lungs? old skool paper fanzines welcome to shadders online, hooray welcome to the 21st century! So what can you expect from shadders online? Well our blend of interviews, live reviews and views on our favourite indie bands past and present.

What we won't be is some flash site that has no content, we'll keep the zine ethos alive just online! So at times we might appear a little 'basic' but it's all in the writing, photo's and interviews.

To get us started we uploaded some of our archive interviews and reviews and also our homage to our favourite singer songwriter Lee Griffitths and now defunct Manchester guitar stars The Rain Band and general old round stars The Cooper Temple Clause, gone but not forgotten.

We're constantly updating the site so keep coming back to see whose interview, live review or album review pops up next. If it's worth listening to them it'll end up on shadders online and that's a promise! And if it's new bands you like check out Incoming where we feature the latest bands before it all kicks off for them. So anyway please click on some pages, have a read and most of all enjoy music.

And then there's the Great Myspace Interview Challenge, we sent loads of messages to our 'friends' on myspace. All have received 15 indentical questions but we've received back loads of responses which are all very different! Check them out on the Great Myspace Interview Challenge page, it's good fun!

Please feel free to go to the contact page and drop us a message; about this site, your favourite new band who we should be getting into or even the last gig you went to - feel free in fact to let us know what you think about anything really (well musically anyway!).

And on top of this we're on myspace too so if you're one of the many dedicated to myspace you can find us at www.myspace.com/shaddersonline
